We are going to Ethiopia for our Special Interest Placement. We will be in Ethiopia for 4 weeks in January, with 3 of those weeks working in a school in a town called Bahir Dar. We will aim to keep this blog updated as often as possible but we may not be able to update it every day.

Day 5 - Merry Genna!
Merry Genna from Ethiopia! Last night Jonny didnt feel too good, so he went to bed early, while Hannah ate dinner with some tourists she had met in the Ghion Hotel - a Swiss, an American and a Spanish! The next day was Christmas Day! Jonny, Frank and Hannah, along with other tourists in the hotel, were invited to the hotel owner's house for traditional Ehtiopian Christmas Dinner. This included tourists from Switzerland, Spain, America and Greece, so it was lovely to speak to people from all over the world, and to try some traditional Ethiopian dishes. Later that day, we moved into Dominics house, the class teacher who's class we are taking for the three weeks we are here. It's definately more modern than the Ghion hotel, however we don't have internet so it was a little annoying. In the evening, we were invited to an Italian ladies house for traditional Italian food. Here, we met her daughter who attends Rispins International School in the pre-kindergarten class, so we are sure we will see her again! Hope you enjoy the photos! :) Han and Jonny xx
