Day 3 - Addis Ababa

Helloo everyone J firstly today, we went to a local shopping mall to visit Zac. He is a team leader at a primary school here in the city, and told us what to expect from our Bahir Dar visit, as he had recently visited the school. Following this, we left the city of Addis Ababa and visited the countryside which was above 10,000ft altitude. We visited a horse riding school, and then drove through a village called Salunta, where it was nothing like Addis at all. The locals lived in traditional mud huts, and they have no running water at home. They have to walk to a local tap which could be kilometers away, and often are seen scavenging in the mountains for food. We then visited the Yaya Africa Athletics Sport Village, which is owned by a famous Ethiopian Olympic Athlete. We had lunch and then came back down to Addis. After repacking our 4 suitcases into 3, we are now ready to fly to Bahir Dar tomorrow morning, leaving our villa at 5.15am! L We are not sure if we have regular internet access in Bahir Dar, but we know we have internet at our school where we will try to go online as often as possible! J Han and Jonny xxx
