Day 12

Helloo :) today we had another really good day in school! Hans English lesson with her grade 5/6 went really well, and she is finally getting used to juggling her time between 2 different groups of children at different ends of the room! It was really tricky to start with and she'd never done it before, but she has definately learnt alot from having a split grade class! Jonny revised some of the Higher Frequency words that our grade 1/2 class are learning, which went really well too! We are really happy with the progress the class seem to be making already, and the language barrier is definately becoming easiar to overcome, although we still have to be super patient! But we both definately feel more prepared to teach children with English as an Additional Language in the future. After English, Ann led a maths lesson on multiplication. The children really don't understand multiplication so it has definately given us ideas for some future maths lessons! The class had Amharic and PE in the afternoon, so we spent our time planning in the sunshine! :) we are now in Homland after what feels like the longest day ever, but we are starting to really enjoy our time in school! :) Han and Jonny xx
