Day 15 and 16 - School.

Helloo everyone! :) yesterday and today we had some pretty good days in school! Our grade 1/2 class are really progressing in their ability to multiply numbers and their pronunciation of high-frequency English words. It takes alot of patience and alot of gestures and alot of practice, but they are really improving and we are so happy that we seem to be making a difference! Today was a half day in school, so we finished school at 12. We went shopping in town and then came to Homland for lunch with Marian and Rahel. Rahel is a kindergarten teacher at school who lives in a tiny room behind our house. She was orphaned at a young age, and was sent to live in a boarding school her entire childhood, so has had a pretty tough life. She said how much she will miss us when she goes because she really enjoys having friends and company, which made Jonny and I very sad but also happy to hear! We are so glad that we seem to be making a positive difference to her life too! :) and we will certainly miss her. We then went home and played cards on our balcony in the sun... Han won their game of cards 6-2... sorry Jonny. But then he completely thrashed me in Pass the Pigs! :( Also, well done to Jonny, who has just recieved his specialist ICT result which he is very happy with! :) Hope you enjoy today's photos! :) and are all being safe in the snow at home! H and J xxx
